Debbie first came to GGFL as a University of Waterloo co-op student in 1980, and became a partner in 1994.

In April 2007, she was named a finalist for the 2007 Businesswoman of the Year Award, Professional Category, organized by the Women's Business Network.

Debbie was named Managing Partner, effective January 1, 2008.

She appreciates the GGFL approach because it encourages "direct involvement with business owners who take our advice seriously" and feels that direct contact with partners is the GGFL difference. "Clients have at least two contacts at GGFL, usually a partner and a manager or supervisor. This means easy access to very senior advisors."
