Ontario Business Relief Grant Applications Now Open
The province of Ontario has opened applications for its new relief funding program for businesses. The Ontario Small Business Support Grant starting at $10,000 to a maximum of $20,000 is open to businesses that are required to close or significantly restrict their services due to the province-wide shutdown effective December 26, 2020. Funds from the Grant can be used at the discretion of the business.
To be eligible, businesses must have fewer than 100 employees and demonstrate a revenue decline of at least 20% when comparing April 2019 and April 2020 monthly gross revenues. Other time periods are available for businesses that were not in operation in April 2019. Click here to access the application portal.
Applications remain open for three other Ontario relief programs:
- Main Street Relief Grant for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Property Tax Rebate Grant
- Energy Cost Rebate Grant
Business can check their eligibility for these grants and apply using the same online portal.
