It was a love of numbers and a great high school accounting teacher that inspired me to become an accountant. I started my career here at GGFL as a co-op student, and I’ve been here ever since. I’m fortunate to work with a variety of clients—many of whom are entrepreneurs and business owners. Finding ways to help them succeed is what keeps me motivated.
I am passionate about working with entrepreneurs—seeing them grow a business from scratch, and supporting them along the way. We’ve been with many of our clients across decades—and across generations. It’s a privilege to work alongside them and to be part of the same community.
The partners at GGFL and I consider ourselves to be entrepreneurs too. We’ve developed the firm over the years and seen our team grow and flourish. I think that experience and passion for business is what makes us great advisors. And it’s why we enjoy our work so much.
Deborah joined GGFL in 1980 as a University of Waterloo co-op student. She was named partner in 1994 and managing partner in 2008.
