I specialize in several industries, including construction, real estate, agriculture, and automotive business. However, I’m always eager to explore new areas. Accounting is about more than just numbers; it’s about understanding the nuances of each industry, and I love the challenge of learning and adapting to new variables. No matter the sector, the skills I’ve honed over the years allow me to approach each situation with the same problem-solving mindset, much like piecing together a complex puzzle.
The most rewarding part of my job is getting to know my clients on a personal level. Understanding their business is just the beginning—what truly matters is knowing what’s going on in their lives. Are they planning to retire soon? Looking to pass on the business to the next generation? Are they balancing family life with running a company? It’s this connection that allows me to give the best advice and help them plan for the future.
I always tell my clients, especially in construction, ‘You wouldn’t let your accountant build a house—especially not me! So let me help you with what I know, and together we can build something great.’
Outside of work, I spend time with my wife, Kymberly, and our son, Quillan. While he keeps us busy, I always make time to get on my bike. Cycling is something I find both cathartic and invigorating, a perfect way to clear my mind and recharge. Whether we’re relaxing by the pool in the summer or exploring new places, our family values time together—and we make the most of every moment.
