As a partner at GGFL, I get the greatest satisfaction working alongside local business owners and founders. Getting to play a role helping them built strong, resilient and successful companies also helps build our city and make it a better place to live for everyone; that is very rewarding.

It may be because of my lifelong participation in sports, but I believe the best way for me to help my clients is by taking a team approach. Whether that is bringing in another specialist from within the firm, or connecting clients with other members of the business community, my goal is to be a go-to resource that clients can turn to for help with any part of their lives.

My father was in public accounting and that got me interested in trying a few accounting classes in high school so I could see what financial statements and balance sheets were all about. By the time I completed my first year of university accounting courses, I knew it was a profession at which I could excel. I can’t imagine doing anything else.

A healthy, active community is important, and I help support our community in my role as Treasurer for the Dovercourt Recreation Association. If I’m not exploring numbers, you can probably find me on the ice playing hockey, on the hill snowboarding, or on the field playing soccer.
