Became a Partner 2020
I started working with some of my current clients in 1994 when I was a first-term University of Waterloo co-op student at GGFL – and they were GGFL clients long before I got here.
That says a lot about our firm.
We have a care-giving relationship with our clients, who are loyal to GGFL because we look out for their financial well-being like we do for our own family members. We proactively provide solutions, often before the client realizes they have a problem.
Everyone here is professionally well-rounded and is encouraged to focus on all aspects of the business for the benefit of the client. Even after so many years I’m still learning new things. Being able to work in multiple aspects of the profession makes every workday different, which makes GGFL a great place to work.
I’m a database enthusiast and the Excel expert within the firm, and I stay on top of the latest developments in QuickBooks and other accounting software to keep our firm on the leading edge.
Outside of work, I am into the performing arts (particularly music) as well as travel, and often combine the two, attending concerts throughout North America and Europe. I also combine my interest in music with accounting; I’ve been the treasurer of Thirteen Strings Chamber Orchestra almost as long as I’ve been with GGFL.
